Here is who I am and how I support you
Kia Ora, I'm Ruku I'Anson
I am based in the Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand, and have spent more than 40 years working alongside people in leadership, mentoring, wellbeing, and community-focused roles.
My counselling approach is informed by Te Poutama Ora, a kaupapa Māori framework that brings together whakapapa, identity, wellbeing, and personal transformation. Developed through lived experience, study, and practice, it supports people to better understand the interconnected dimensions of their lives and the patterns that shape their wellbeing.
Alongside my counselling training and ongoing professional development, I draw on both contemporary counselling approaches and mātauranga Māori to provide a culturally grounded and respectful space.
Whether you are navigating stress, life transitions, identity, relationships, or a desire for deeper alignment, I offer a space where you can reflect, reconnect with what matters most, and move forward in a way that honours who you are and where you come from.
